i love technology

sometimes i hate technology but sometimes it's my best friend.

the kids at teylor's school have taught her how to throw a temper tantrum.

seriously, temper tantrum. screaming, spitting, totally freaking out. i thought my child had been posessed. i actually started praying and singing Jesus loves me.

last night i had an idea. i took video of her fit. filmed the whole damn thing. later that night, after she calmed down, i showed her the film. she was so embarassed and upset by her actions.

the conversation went like this:

me: it's kind of silly to get that angry, huh?

teylor: yes.

me: don't you think it makes more sense just to calmly tell mom why you're upset?

teylor: yes.

me: so from now on, try to remember that. remember that mom doesn't always know what you want or why you are frustrated. if you'll just tell me, it makes things so much easier.

teylor: okay.

me: i love you kiddo.

teylor: i love you too momma!

she then went on to watch care bears and we both lived happily ever after.
